If you decide to pursue therapy, we will develop a payment schedule that best fits your needs. In rare cases, a “sliding scale” arrangement can be made based on an individual’s financial need and available resources. I am in in-network provider with CIGNA.

If you have CIGNA as an insurance carrier, contact CIGNA before your first appointment to ask about your plan. I am an out of-net-work provider outside of CIGNA which means that your insurance plan needs to include out-of-network mental health services, also referred to as “behavioral health.” Some plans may require initial authorization. For your convenience, here is a check list of questions to ask your insurance representative:

Is pre-authorization required for mental health/behavioral health service?

Do I have an in-network deductible, and if yes, has the deductible been met?

How much is my plan’s deductible before full coverage takes effect?

What is the session co-pay? Is it a standard rate or a percentage of the contracted rate?

Out-Of-Network

Do I have out-of-network benefits?

What is the cost of my deductible before my plan starts paying for out-of-network services?

Is my deductible for mental health/behavioral health separate from my deductible for medical health, or is the deductible combined?

Do I have an in-network deductible as well, and if yes, does that count toward my out-of-network deductible?

How much of my deductible has already been met?

Does my plan reimburse a flat rate for out-of-network services, or is it a percentage of the provider’s fee?

Does my plan require pre-authorization? If yes, contact me for my National Provider ID (NPI) number and procedure code.
